Located off South Carolina’s coast and only accessible by boat, Daufuskie Island offers a tranquil, untouched setting where nature thrives. Inspired by this unique environment we handcraft each of our spirits with care, blending tradition with innovation to capture the essence of the island in every bottle.
In June 2013, the dream of crafting a distinctive island rum came to life on Daufuskie Island. Our mission was clear: to create a spirit that embodies the island's charm. Nestled between two grand live oaks and overlooking a tranquil pond, we found the perfect spot to call home. From this peaceful setting, Daufuskie Island Distillery was born.
With this enchanting setting as our foundation, we introduced handcrafted copper stills and fermenters, custom-made in Alabama. As the first batches of rum began to flow, our passion for the craft grew, inspiring us to explore and create new flavors to explore other spirits.
The dream didn’t stop at rum. Inspired by the island, we expanded our distillery to craft not only rum but also vodka, bourbon and now tequila! Each spirit captures the timeless charm of Daufuskie, with rich, layered flavors that reflect the island’s unique character.
What began as a dream is now a celebrated reality, enjoyed by visitors from around the world. Every bottle from our distillery is a true piece of the island—100% American-made, distilled, bottled, and packed by hand in our remote haven.
